Art deco meets Mad Men at The Roxy Hotel, a hip Manhattan hub for music, film, and art. This stylish city wedding venue sits nestled between industrial-chic TriBeCa and fashionable SoHo. The streetscape offers a perfect background for portraits, even within a block from the hotel - which was key on an unusually cold November afternoon. (Special shoutout to Makeup by Lucas for braving the elements with me and keeping Meredith's makeup on point!)

The ceremony: late afternoon in the Roxy Cinema, a classic throwback theater. The reception: dinner and dancing at The Django, the hotel's basement jazz club featuring vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls.

With Aruba Ray on the mic and YAGIRLASH mixing tunes, the dance floor stayed high-energy until the celebration moved down the street for a party after the party.

For my fellow cinephiles, the Roxy Cinema specializes in first-run independent films, rare archival prints, and 35mm cult classics. It also runs special programming including film series, director and actor Q&As, and artist collaborations. Time it right and you might catch me for a cocktail at the Roxy Bar before showtime ;)
